This past week, we took a visit to the laundromat in Earlham. We learned that a laundromat is a place people go to wash their clothes. We can find a lot of washers and dryers there. Our laundromat only had four washers and four dryers. The afternoon class actually got to watch someone bring their clothes in and start the washer. One thing that we discovered in the laundromat was the coin machine. We learned that it cost money when you take your laundry to the laundromat. Ms. Brus brought a dollar and we got to see how the coin machine worked! Check out a few pictures from our visit!
After visiting the laundromat, we got to show the kiddos our washer that was added to our dramatic play area.
Mrs. Neri was our guest teacher on Friday while Ms. Brus was gone. She was our laundry expert! She shared the different kinds of detergent. There's liquid soap, powder soap, and pods! She even talked about how pods can make you sick if you eat them because they are for cleaning clothes. She also showed the kiddos some different stain removers! She told them about her son who played football and often had to remove grass stains from his uniform.
